Since I got started with Pinterest, I haven’t really done any wish list posts. …so if you want to buy me lots of presents you can go check out my boards. 😉 But take note, there is also a board of things that I have pinned and received.
Today I came upon this item that doesn’t really fit in any of my boards but I didn’t want to forget about it or “loose” it. So here is one more item for my ever-growing wish list. 🙂
These little babies came in the mail today! A wonderful surprise from my wonderful husband!
As we’re packing, I keep finding things hidden away. I keep telling myself we don’t have that much stuff… but we do, it’s all just tucked away out of sight. One of those things were these cute little conversion charts that I cut out of a Martha Stewart magazine many years ago.
They have been moving around with me and I think it’s time for a new set. So I found the downloadable PDF of these charts and thought I’d share it with you. You can download them here. I should probably laminate them this time…
Oh man guys, we have been quite busy lately, lots of working on moving stuff. I’m finally processing the fact that we’re moving — and driving — across the country.
Anyway, even though we’re purging as much stuff as we can, I still want stuff. 😉 Lately I’ve been adding caffeine back into my diet little by little, mostly in the form of a small decaf coffee every week or so from McDonald’s (while I do my best not to eat there, there’s no denying that they have some of the best drip coffee around) or a few sips of B’s Coke. So here’s the next item on my wish list:
Specifically the decaf Moose Munch blend. 🙂
Mmm… I’m imagining it iced with cream and a little sugar.
JACK POT! I get to mark something off of my wish list! A while ago, I started my wish list with this little number. Well, on February 14th, Brian decided to be awesome and buy me a Valentines present even though I didn’t get him anything. He wouldn’t tell me what it was, only that it was going to be a few weeks before it got here. Time passed. I forgot that he ordered a present. Then on Monday as we were checking the mail, I saw a package in our little cubby (apparently the system here is called a Community Mail Box). Brian looked at it, confusion crossed his face, I squeezed the package [TWSS] to check out its contents, and then he jerked it away from me! He remembered what it was and said I couldn’t look at it. Then I remembered that he owed me a present, started squealing, squeezing his face, and just making a scene. I ran inside, opened it, and this is what I found:
This little guy was in the package too. I have a feeling it would be super fun to work at photojojo.
Also, while shopping at the farm market on Sunday, Brian picked me up a lovely bunch of gerbera daisies that brighten up our
dungeon basement. 🙂
Another item for my wish list. (Another blog post is coming soon re: said wish list!!!)
I love all things Moleskine. And for the first time ever the ad banner over the t.v. listings (or on any page for that matter) was actually relevant and interesting to me! That is how I found this little number:
It’s a portfolio that carries your Moleskine, smart phone, and sundry doodads. I always have my Moleskine journal and smart phone with me… and usually my passport. 😉 why not carry it all in a cute bundle?
check out these sweet kicks i designed. def adding them to my wish list. (you can customize some too!)
I customized them with ’10:5′ because 2 Corinthians 10:5 has been a motivational verse for me lately. As I run, I try to take my thoughts captive… and ignore the pain. 😉 Just kidding. But seriously. I’ve been noticing such awesome parallels in my life to my walk with Jesus lately. Take running, for instance. (I’m not a runner by nature, but by choice.) You start out feeling okay, not super good but not terrible. Then about a mile in, you hit this wall. Your legs feel heavy. Your side hurts. You can’t seem to slow your breathing. But if you stick it out, right before you feel like you’re going to fall on your face, suddenly the wall vanishes and you’re cruising. But if you never push through that wall, you’re always going to fail. It’s the same in life. We go through hard times, facing trials and dealing with crap. It feels like you’ve hit a wall emotionally, mentally, spiritually, maybe even physically. But then, in those moments of pain, you persevere and lean on God. You trust Jesus to give you the strength just to lift your leg so you can take a step. And all of a sudden the crap seems to melt away. Jesus gives you victory! The devil tries to defeat you with your crap. But you can choose to take joy in the crap and persevere. And Jesus actually does make all things work together for good. Somehow.
I was pondering this cycle as I thought about the seasons changing, spring coming, new life being brought to the earth… Such thoughts are too deep for me. 😉
Another thing for my wishlist:
I would like to add these to my list, too.
Oh Adi Dassler… thank you for branching out in your cobblering to create some great foot wear. Footballers around the world salute you.
