It’s been a crazy week. Lots of early mornings. Most before 5:30, one before 5:00. Lots of toddler-related things. Including finding the Toddler Pandora station. Love it.
I really like these foam building blocks because they don’t do much damage when they inevitably end up being thrown 90 mph and don’t hurt when you step on them. But to get them all back in their bag you have to have an engineering degree from MIT. No joke.
(It’s a little sad when a 2.5-year-old can almost wear your shoes.)
Everything is wet. Face, nose, hands, feet, neck. Best surprise: when you get a wet high 5.
Lots of funny shaped hotdogs. I decided I like the thought of eating a hotdog but will avoid actually eating one at all costs. It just doesn’t feel good in my tummy.
The weather went from warm and muggy to clear and cold. And back again. Now we’re in the freezing zone. I’m hoping we get to see snow at least once this winter.
Lots of mugs of warm drinks. Mostly coffee. And my favorite new headband. Seriously, I ordered 2 more for myself after my bff got me this one for Christmas. It’s a BIC band. They don’t slip, don’t damage your hair, and they’re for a great cause.
Also, did you know wearing cardigans backwards is a thing now? The toddler may be onto something…
It really has been a great week. I’m just pooped. And I really did want to be in bed 8 minutes ago. But I’m at the in-laws and shouldn’t be antisocial. Plus, they have an awesome fire going, so I’ll go enjoy that for a bit with some crocheting… 🙂
Well, it wouldn’t be New Year’s Day for us if we weren’t traveling. We’re headed out to Vancouver this afternoon for a week of meetings and friendly visits.
I’m a little ashamed, but not too much, that our Christmas decorations are all still up.
But, it’s 2 hours before our ride to the airport gets here and I’m ready to go! So no complaining here!
And yes, I packed my rain coat and umbrella, but no rain boots. Last year it did not stop raining the entire week of these meetings… I’m hoping this year will be a little different. Yep, that looks about right.Anyway, here are some pics from our last few weeks. 🙂
You must buy this. Even if you don’t like coffee. It doesn’t taste like coffee. It tastes like heaven. Seriously.
We got to hang out with our friends here a couple of times. It was a nice treat. Look at those cheeks! I love her.
My seester got a Build-a-Bear for Christmas from her bf and Lola actually really liked the box. Plus, what’s cuter than a bunny popping out of a box?
My Grandma really liked Lola. And I think Lola liked her, too. 🙂 And don’t worry, the back brace looks worse than it is. It’s mostly to keep her from twisting and moving in ways that she’s not supposed to. She’s recovering from her fall quite nicely.
B-Money took me out on a date for my birthday. 🙂 It was delicious. We went to Phoenix Asian Cuisine. They offer many different varieties of Asian dishes from Japanese to Chinese to Korean. And of course fortune cookies.
Good morning. I feel like there is so much to share, mostly in pictures, of the last month. But I’m still sorting through all of them. We’ve established our “home office” of sorts. I like our set-up. I can see Brian and Lola and get lots of sunshine (weather permitting). But this morning I am feeling a little out of place and a little blue. I dreamed about our office in Langley. I dreamed about our friends and co-workers there who we were used to seeing everyday. Or at least several times per week. It’s just different. And change takes time to get used to. So in honour of my Vancouverites, I’m sipping from my Vancouver mug today. 🙂
Oh man guys, we have been quite busy lately, lots of working on moving stuff. I’m finally processing the fact that we’re moving — and driving — across the country.
Anyway, even though we’re purging as much stuff as we can, I still want stuff. 😉 Lately I’ve been adding caffeine back into my diet little by little, mostly in the form of a small decaf coffee every week or so from McDonald’s (while I do my best not to eat there, there’s no denying that they have some of the best drip coffee around) or a few sips of B’s Coke. So here’s the next item on my wish list:
Specifically the decaf Moose Munch blend. 🙂
Mmm… I’m imagining it iced with cream and a little sugar.
