Juicing has become our new favorite food-related activity. (YoPop will always trump everything, though.) This is the basic juice I make when we just want something to go with dinner or as a second-breakfast.
- 1/2 english cucumber
- 1 whole bell pepper (red, yellow, or orange)
- 4 apples
- 2 fistfuls of full-sized carrots
- Wash produce. Discard tops and seeds if you are planning to use the pulp in muffins or other baking.
- Softer foods should go in first (cucumber and pepper) followed by firm produce (apples and carrots).
Tip: Line the pulp-catcher with a bag so you have one less thing to clean. I typically use a grocery/Target/Walmart bag. A ziploc is great to save the pulp in the fridge for later use. But make sure you use it that day…
