When Brian remembers something from his childhood, especially when it’s of his own volition, I make it a point to pay attention to what he’s saying. It doesn’t happen that often. So today when he saw a commercial for a baby toy and said, “Do you know what that reminds me of? This toy that I used to have when I was little.” And his face lit up as he started telling me about these ‘spinjas.’ They are toys that spin into the center of the base, we’ll call it the circus maximus [added by Becca], bump into each other and the last one standing wins.
And then, the best part happened. He chuckled a little bit and said, “And I think I just realized why they call them spinjas. Spinning Ninjas.”
…and then he refused to eat the tums before reading the instructions. I love him. 🙂
